About Ernst Schetselaar

Ernst Schetselaar is a structural geologist and 3-D modelling expert with 25 years of experience in applying data integration methods to bedrock mapping and mineral exploration. His research focuses on 3D integrated modelling of geological, geophysical and geochemical data to enhance insight in ore-forming systems and develop deep exploration methods for the mineral deposits they host. In his research he employs a variety of multivariate, geostatistical and 3D geological modelling methods, which provide the means for analyzing ore systems in their paleogeographic and structural setting. Recently, I am also actively involved in the Canada3D research initiative, which aims at building web-accessible multi-scale 3D geological compilations across Canada.
