During the Winter 2022 semester, the students in ERTH 2419: On the Origin of Planets, organized an image contest where they took images of Jupiter from the current spacecraft orbiting the planet (JunoCam). They downloaded raw images of Jupiter from JunoCam from the NASA website and enhanced the planet's features.
The learning objectives of this activity were to:
1) Understand that some of the images from planets on the web are sometimes modified and colours are enhanced
2) Understand how scientists use different software to enhance features of planets' pictures to study them
