Ph.D student Kyle Harris attended the 13th Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT) Conference in Lausanne, Switzerland from Nov 14th to 18th. The GHGT conference series has established itself as the principal international conference on greenhouse gas mitigation technologies, particularly focusing on CO2 Capture and Storage. Kyle’s presentation, entitled Monitoring results after 35 ktonnes of deep CO2 injection at the Aquistore CO2 Storage Site, Saskatchewan, Canada, reported on early post-injection seismic monitoring of an injected CO2 plume in a deep saline reservoir. This presentation included work from his doctoral research under Dr. Don White (Adjunct Professor) and Dr. Claire Samson, as well as work from the post-doctoral research of Dr. Lisa Roach and Dr. Anna Stork of Leeds University and Bristol University respectively.
