M.Sc. student Erin Bethell has been awarded a travel grant by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to attend the next meeting of the Venus Exploration Analysis Group (VEXAG) . The meeting is scheduled for November 29th – December 1st at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

VEXAG is a forum designed to provide input from the scientific community on the future exploration of Venus (including a Venus surface sample return mission). The Group reports to NASA’s Solar System Exploration Division.

At the meeting, Erin will present results from her detailed mapping of the Alpha Regio quadrangle on Venus and its implications for corona development. Click here for a copy of her abstract. Erin is co-supervised by Dr. Richard Ernst and Dr. Claire Samson.
